Naughty or risque vintage cast metal waitress tip tray or germaphobic novelty tray
Also called a handshake tray
Shows a military man, soldier or sailor, and a woman with her hand over her mouth. Flip the tray over and you see why. The man has his hand up her dress, grabbing her butt!
One use:
These type trays were used back in the day by waitresses. She would hold it with her thumb on the indentation by the woman's head on the tray. Her other fingers would brace it from behind. She would extend this to the customer hoping for a big tip
Another use:
Again, back in the day, called a handshake tray, this was used by a person that did not like to shake hands. A person with germaphobia. They would extend this tray and the person they are greeting would shake the tray instead of the person's hand
